Feeding Therapy
Improving oral motor skills and the strengthening of oral structures can affect both speech and feeding. Feeding therapy may be performed by a speech-language pathologist or an occupational therapist who can assist your child to achieve better feeding skills and increased independence.
AAC: Augmentative & Alternative Communication
AAC is the use of any other communication method, besides verbal speech, to communicate a child’s wants, needs, thoughts, and feelings.
This may include: speech generating devices, sign language, writing communication, picture cards, switches, and much more. At DST, we have therapists trained in completing AAC evaluations.
